Tense

Tense is a grammatical term that refers to the time of an action or event. In English, there are three main tenses: past, present, and future. The past tense is used to describe actions or events that have already happened, the present tense is used to describe actions or events that are happening now or that occur regularly, and the future tense is used to describe actions or events that will happen in the future. Each tense can be further divided into different forms, such as simple, progressive, perfect, or perfect progressive, to indicate additional aspects of the action or event, such as its duration, completion, or ongoing nature.
